Learn My Way

Run by the Good Things Foundation, this site is famous for its simple, step-by-step guides on using the internet, video calling, and online banking.

Explore skills for everyday life and for the workplace, helping you get online and stay connected.

Hertfordshire Libraries

Free Wi-Fi, computer access, dedicated support.

“IT Taster” Sessions: Book 1:1 session for beginners (£10, or £6.50 for concessions).

Digital Volunteers: Many libraries have “Digital Champions” who help with quick questions for free.

Communities 1st (Hertsmere/Borehamwood)

A fantastic local organization providing “Computers and a Cuppa” sessions. These are informal, social, and perfect for building confidence in a relaxed setting.

Borehamwood: Thursdays (10 am – 2 pm) at Leeming Road Community Hub.

Potters Bar: 1st & 3rd Monday of the month at Wyllyotts Centre.

Radlett: 2nd & 4th Monday of the month at the Radlett Centre.

A collection of free, high-quality courses from introductory “Everyday Digital” to advanced AI and coding skills.

Barclays Digital Wings

You don’t need to be a Barclays customer to use this. It’s a free learning platform with bite-sized modules on everything from online safety to how to use Google Maps.

NCSC (Cyber Aware): For the latest on how to protect your passwords and email. ncsc.gov.uk/cyberaware

Action Fraud: To report a scam or if you’ve been a victim of cybercrime.

Hertfordshire Police (Cyber Team): For local alerts on scams targeting Herts residents.
